What format is this in? For some reason, it's saving as a .dat file, which I have no idea about.

It's the video file from a VCD I made.
All you have to do is change the extension to .mpg and it should work with windows media player.
Or download something like videolan.

there is one seeder on this torrent - Ogre. Sometimes seeders don't show up - depending on how their client is configured.

I saw the Story and i'm a little disappointed. I hoped to see more of Brian and Roger creating the Rhapsody in the studio (2004). All you see is the first solo part and a little piece they played from the song "Tear it up".
Nice the way Roy Thomas Baker spits the vocals and instruments in the studio, but I'm not waiting for the piece of the knowing what the lyrics are about. If you want to know, there is a docu where Peter Freestone tells exacly what the three pieces that form Bohemian Rhapsody are about!
Anyway nice to see new footage!
