I have an question
the we will rock you dvd
is it really cut because i think i missed some songs
i thought flash and the hero and huh
sheer heart attack is missed
If you're right, the DVD is very well edited. It looks like one complete concert to me.
I got to try al little more, because I'm an asshole but I'm learning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfTLkUcQ7QY
Sheer Heart Atack is on the DVD
Live life to the full!
It doesn't edit, just because Queen didn't played Flash and The Hero on those Montreal shows!
I do remember one time that they claimed the concert was unedited.. yet Jailhouse Rock was missing.. and then it suddenly appeared on the newest release.. so.. you never know
My Brothers and Sisters all hated me 'cause I was an only child... -Weird Al (Generic Blues) I gave up on books when 'To Kill A Mockingbird' gave me no useful advice on how to kill a mockingbird.
Jailhouse Rock was actually played more towards the end of the show,
but on one of the nights Freddie wore shorts so to add the song to the DVD,
it had to be moved earlier on.
You just can't beat the reasonably priced mosquito repellant OFF.
I remember reading somewhere that both Flash and The Hero were played on both of the nights.
It is also obvious that the guitar solo has a huge section cut out and what about the intro to Now Im Here ?
I love you for your mind baby give me your body.
Yet Mack did a great job with the recording of the concert and so forth.
"Spread your wings and fly away, fly away, far away!", "No one makes me sing lullabies and no one makes me close my eyes"
Flash and the Hero would probably cause some copyright thing, because another company shot and released it, so probably that's the reason why they skipped it.

The audience was very lame, BTW.
also Queen have not the rights of this concert
here's a thing that Brian May said about the concert:
I think it's already well-known that we are upset about this product being out there in its present forum. WE regard the sound quality as inferior, to it put it mildly!

We were denied access to remix the sound properly, and Mr. Saul Swimmer is certainly NOT persona grata with us. This is the one that slipped through the net, a real thorn in our side. It is the only piece of concert footage which is owned by a third party, and boy do we regret it.

It's really a shame because if a little money were spent on remixing it, instead of tryin to tart up the old mix ( which was inferior anyway), it could be great.
IMO, they should invest in a little research to gather all possible unarchived stuff then release it to the public. I bet that move will return tenfold in terms of income and royalties.
Here is the quote from GB's book 'Queen Lives' about the Montreal set-list and 'We Will Rock You' video: "There were no omissions".
Why I can't trust Greg in this case?
