im only 15, and i would love to see Queen, meet Brian and all that. But he cant do everything.
i think it is amazing what brian and roger does at the moment, like, WWRY.. at least show them some respect, they didnt have to do it!
Brian lives in the UK, thats why its easier for him to do things over here, not in america!
its so simple, if you are that bothered, why dont you just get tickets and fly over to the UK to see him. I know you'll say, it'll cost to much, well maybe it'll cost Brian to much, (even though he is a millionaire..)
Im sure there is a million reasons (and good ones) why Brian doesnt visit. For all you could know he could have a close family/friend who is really ill.
Don't critaise him unless, you really know the full fact.

Well, Mike, it seems like your cutting off yor nose to spite your face. It doesn't make sense to destroy your collection because you're angry at the prospect of no U.S. spots on the tour. I'm with you as far as disappointment goes, though. I live in Cleveland, so wer're neighbors. :) Point is, you won't stop liking their music because you destroy it or give it away and over time you will regret it and probably end up starting all over.
If they come, great, if not, oh well. They cant' go everywhere but we can catch it on the internet at some point. Take a breath, Mike and realize that this is not an important life event in the grand scheme of things.

Will everyone stop complaining Queen have only been to their country so and so times? Brian has his reasons. And as for you megamike, the fact you are even considering destroying your Queen collection is enough said about you. You're lucky Brian and Roger haven't packed it in like John, and maybe they will if they start getting emails like yours. Try to be grateful they are even doing a tour at all.

Hey, MM, don't destroy your collection, sell it and make a profit! That way you can start a whole new collection of something else, if what Brian and Roger are doing bothers you that much.
I don't hold any hope that they will come to the US except to promote their musical and pick up awards. Let's all see if this venture with Paul Rodgers actually HAPPENS. You never know, anything's possible!

Hello people, After hearing the fact that this new Queen tour might not happen in the USA I decided to send Brian an email explaining my feelings
Hi Brian,
Well.. first of all I want to say that I am happy to hear that you are planning on going out on tour, but I have to know, will this include the USA? For many years the USA has been left dry while you and Roger tour the UK, Oh, sure you may want to use the numbers of your Back To the Light tour to justify not Touring for Another World, and why Roger NEVER toured the USA is still a big question.. so I will guess at the real reason.. it was lack of publicity, ever since Queen signed with Hollywood Records they have really done nothing to actively promote your material. I learned of your BTTL tour the day AFTER you played.
I am sorry to have to say this, but I have been a hard core fan since 1980, I saw Queen when I was 14 and it was a moment that I will never forget, but I grow very weary of being tossed aside after spending my hard earned money on your latest release only to have you tour elsewhere.. Hey, Thanks for giving us the We Will Rock You musical in Las Vegas, But really, that don't make up for not touring. So, I make this promise, the day I hear that you are NOT touring the USA I will separate myself from everything Queen and Queen related. I will destroy my entire collection.. seeing how by choosing to not tour the USA you make it clear that you don't care about us US fans, why should I spend my money on you?
Forgive me if this sounds harsh, but there are a LOT of young fans that have never had a chance to see you guys play, and for whatever reason you choose this time, it will only deepen the rift between us.. as for me, I am 38, I have seen Queen live, but I want a chance to see you guys play the USA and Detroit once again. Do NOT disappoint your fans here in the USA.

So, if you think this was harsh and uncalled for, I don't care.. it is MY feelings and I am tired of being ignored. some of us are not as lucky as others that can just drop what they are doing and fly clear across the ocean just to see a concert. or go clear across the United States for one show on SHORT notice.. these are MY feelings and for once I am serious, and when I say I will seperate myself from everything Queen related, that means here... and I know that will just break your hearts.. you know I dont care what you think of my opinions.. I just want you to see what I feel.

They probably don't even have a proper Europe schedule. What do you think does a tour like this cost? They'll probably start off in Europe to see if it sells.. if it goes well, they might do a US tour.. who knows?! if it doesn't they'll leave it.
I think they have to be really careful with all this because they'll probably earn a lot of critics... good and bad.
So wait and see what happens.
Sonja is spot on. Think about what they'll have to go through to get something up and running. It's not as simple as throw some cash at it and hope people are happy. There are real concerns evident in production costs and health too. And other countless worries, e.g. ticket sales for one.
Someone like Megamike is just in a place of his own when talking about destroying his collection and turning away from Queen to support other acts. The above notes from Sonja make the point that it's not as simple as MM thinks. Ground has to be tested before planting down anything solid.
And in the end the USA turned away from Queen when a certain video was released! So blame your own country for why they've never been keen on coming over as that made the USA a tough place to make a tour work for them.

I hate that just because the US made the mistake of dropping Queen in favor of other artists in the 80's means that we'll never see anything from them besides the musical again. The rest of us true, real fans of the band shouldn't be judged on where we live. I wish that we didn't have to pay for the mistakes of those fair-weather 'fans' back then, especially since I wasn't even alive!
