As the subject seems to be dying down a little bit now, IF John turned round and said he was going to do the tour after all, would that change the opinion of the 'this is not Queen' camp.

yeh it probably would, but i dout john will tour with them ..
If John were to turn up, it would lend the project that extra bit of credibility in terms of being "fully" endorsed by all those who played in the original band.
But the fact remains that any band without it's original members is not the band it started out as. You can call it what you like I guess, but "Queen" it ain't.

that's a big yes, there will always be those who think that queen died with fred, and there probably right , but john can bring a more legit feel to this tour, it would truly be a queen + paul rodgers tour, it would feel real.
It would bump it up from being 1/2 of Queen to 3/4 of Queen, but it still wouldn't be Queen. That can never happen again. Atleast with John there they're doing all they can. I mean you can't blame Freddie for being dead can you...
Well i sure did!
I LOVED checking out John....most folks either totally overlook his efforts or totally ignore him. This is so sad, as him is HILARIOUS to watch sometimes!
Gotta love al those Classic Deacy Moments....
Wish we could have some more.....

i think i would be more exited about the tour, but i still do not think it will be all that good. i think it would just be good to see him again. i agree with deacon's 1st choice, he will be there in one way or other, after all he came to wwry premiere and was in the audience at the party at the palace. i think he is just the only one who realises how things should be and respects what queen had.
Yes... Then It would be real Queen without Freddie ofcorse but then all members alife would be in this...
My dear mother told me it was announced on the radio 2 news that Queen was touring, and John would be joining them. I'm still hoping she didn't miss-hear...

that would be f*kking awesome! :D
But I can't find anything at the internet that confirms it ..
If John were on tour with Brian & Roger, then we could say it's Queen!!!
in this case, Queen + Paul Rodgers
like Queen + George Michael, remember?
the 3 living members of queen + a singer

Would be a little bit more Queen.
AND it would attract even more people right because no one's heard from him or seen him in "a while".
:-)
I personally would look much more forward to the whole thing but only because I'm a big Deacon Fan!!

If John joined I would think it was some kind of weird joke or have a heat attack.
Yep. If John was to tour which he won't it would be brilliant. It still wouldn't be the same without Freddie but it would make the tour feel more like a Queen tour than just half Queen half other people.
John must be flattered if he reads this Notice Board.... Everybody's talking about him. Queen need a decent bassman for their new tour.... I don't expect John to participate, but it would be great.
