In addition to most people's misgivings about Paul Rodgers singing with Queen, but he also has the most unconvincing wig ever...
You'd think with all his wealth he'd be able to get a decent wig done? It's not even a good style!
Great singer, but doesn't suit Queen songs. His phrasing drifts from the beat too much - in a kind of hackneyed gospel/R&B style. Why can't singers just "sing" and stop doing that cheesey wobbly thing boy bands do? The WWRY musical is full of that kind of singing and it ruins the songs.
Freddie got it spot on. He could sing over the top, but it never made you cringe.
A lesson there I think.

He does look a little like Steve dosn't he? I can't dissagree with you on that one.
Paul Rodgers makes me think at these special, little dogs: Beagles..
Actually, when I first saw Paul Rodgers I thought it was Steve from X Factor..
He looks alot like Chuck Norris... But, Who gives a damn? Looks shouldn't matter in music.

Brilliant. The first time I ever noticed Pauls 'wig' I pissed myself. Bad Company were on a TOPT2 special. At guitar legends he had a bald head with curly sides, a beer gut like Johnny Vegas and about 5' tall. I wonder who his surgeon is!
watch "one flew over the coocoo's nest" and find out what a lobotomy is ;-)... hey, it's john's favourite movie, mind you...
I'm sure, given his surroundings, that Paul Rodgers will adapt to the style needed to pull off Queen's repertoire, though they might leave "I Was Born To Love You" and "Delilah" in the bins.
Paul brings a truly rock-solid voice to the table, one that is truly capable, totally non-cringeworthy, and won't need propping up (unlike when Brian & Roger go about trying leads themselves... totally cringeworthy.)
I'm very excited. See?

Lobotomy is a surgical procedure done on your brain's front part to sever some nerve tracts. Quite ancient, really.
About Paul Rodgers' look, he does remind me of Danny Bonaduce though...

i reely do tthink taht a lotta ppl here ahd lobotomies...
Not to mention that he is one of the most obvious recipients of Botox that I have ever seen. I like him a lot, though.
I never said it DIDN'T matter, I said it SHOULDN'T.
If beauty didn't matter in music Britney Spears would be a nobody. :-P
Britney Spears aint that pretty underneath layer after layer of make-up! :-PShe isn't pretty with it on either. Not in my eyes anyhow.
does Paul really wear wigs?
Did he get one off "hairy rump" that has posted on here then?
hehehee :-))

Well call me out of the loop but I only joined as a member tonight. I just took a gander at the video clip for the Hall of Fame induction and I tried to be objective but oh my god Paul Rodgers just doesn't do it for me - he struggles at times and tries to impose a style of singing that just ISN'T the song.
Now I may be biased as an Australian (but proud of it) but the best re-release I have heard of WWRY in the past few years has been by our lad John Farnham. Now why oh why doesn't Roger & Brian think of going on tour with him because if anyone can do credit to the songs its him!! As for Paul Rodgers - EWWWW on many levels
