Emotional doesn't have to mean sad. Death on Two Legs and Scandal are based on angry emotions. I Can't Live With You is bitter-sweet. There's something about the combination of music and lyrics in All Dead, All Dead that's very sad though.

To an extent it is, but I think it can be taken as a contemplation of death in general. In that interview, he only said that it was in part inspired by his musing on the cat dying when he was much younger - it was about more than just that. I would put All Dead, All Dead and Nevermore as the most emotionally moving for me.

I think that this is very personal, for example for me is SAVE ME, because its a song that was in some special moments in my life....but is not for other people...

Good point - it's interesting that sadness is the emotion everyone's immediately thought of.
Happiest Queen songs, in my view:
- You're My Best Friend
- You and I
- Leroy Brown - not happy in subject matter, but very jovial to listen to, it's hard not to smile.

Sleeping on the Sidewalk and Long Away have a carefree sort of feeling to them, but not quite joyful.
A lot of people feel emotional about Mother Love because it seems to convey Freddie's feelings. However, if the lyrics were written by Brian, the song would not be Freddie's own feelings.
Freddie wasn't feeling up to writing at the time - Brian's observations of him/how he imagined he'd feel are the closest thing we can get.
Well. With Freddie's delivery they're all emotional... I'd say Prophet's Song... that or the show must go on....wwtlf.

Save Me. I didn't care for the song until, as a latecomer, Queen's Video Hits made me realise how beautiful the video was and enlightened me to the song message. It's A Hard Life really gives me the feels too.
anyone forget the gem "Doing Alright"? Not just track two from Queens first album, but a concert mainstay as far as 1976..just listened to it live in Osaka 76 and Freddie never ceases to amaze me with this song live but my favorite version is from the studio, "At The Beeb"
