Hi!

I have downloaded an mp3 file with the Queen's Rock n' Roll medley in 1973 on the BBC with the radio guy speaking; I have searched the Net but all I found was the Master of Sheetkeeckers boot (with 6 songs and no Rock Medley from the bbc radio concert and a Rainbow 74 show); can anyone tell me if there is any full concert of the bbc radio, because the sound quality of the file was quite good and a 6 songs version of the concert I from the bbc I got sometime ago don´t have the same quality.

Thanks

Greetings from Portugal

From Mr. Scully's excellent site (queenconcerts.com) - "Recorded for BBC; a complete version of this show exists in the BBC archives (contrary what some people think or say). The very first soundboard recording of Queen concert. This particular recording includes the presentor's speech between some songs and he also introduces the band ("...Deacon John on bass..."). Rare stereo recording in almost excellent quality."

I'd like to think that there are copies of the first 6 tracks with the same quality of the medley... the vocals are just that bit clearer and the overall mix is better...

it's a very good - and generally widespread show

also the voiceover - is "whispering" bob harris of the BBC's OLd Grey Whistle Test - among ohter shows

The only track i have from that is a clip of Jailhouse Rock. Really good i think.

Erm, I don't think it is Whispering Bob Harris... Listen to Radio 2 tomorrow around tea time and I think you'll find that its not him.

Hero, is the quality of the gig any better in the hub?

The full version is already in the hub? I thought Big Spender and Bama Lama Bama Lou were still rare and haven't leaked yet.

Blimey, that I would like to hear...

Do you know who the commentary is by Martin? Its definately not Bob Harris, this guy seems a bit camp and is not quiet enough!...

sorry - my mistake - it was Alan Black

so have the last few tracks leaked yet?
mine ends with two r n r numbers but not the Bamma Lamma Lou that he announces

And does his voice sound closer on the Rock n Roll Medley? Is it really complete?

Martin: You are correct. The full version is not in the hub.
"Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make."
B
so has anyone (on here) got those two tracks to finish the gig?

i'd swap anything i've got for em

"I just have it, I didn't say it was complete"

OK, must be my English then. I thought your sentence "I have the whole show" means "I have the complete show".
