i am always amazed by how downright articulate the England Captain - David Beckham is (not)...he has the world record for "forcing" the largest number of "YOU KNOW" s into a three-minute post-match interview...but even that is eclipsed by his ability to be stunningly dumb and profound at the same time....
During Euro 2004 Wayne Rooney had seta record for the youngest footballer EVER to score a goal for his country in a major tournament. Unfortunately a few days later a (relatively) unknown Swiss striker broke Rooney's record....
Beckham was interviewed and asked how Rooney felt about "losing his youngest goalscorer record"
to which Beckham promptly replied "well, of course wayne is disappointed to lose his record so quickly, but he will be looking to break it again in our next match"
