Useless topic, because we don't NEED a new Freddie. There was only ONE Freddie. Robbie would do a great show! Period. Why? Simple!
He has the same amount of charisma, humour, attitude, energy and versatility. Rodgers is just old. Sure has the range, but he will be much more boring to watch.
Deary me, it isn't about what I think. These are the facts - old he may be, Rodgers has a better vocal range, a more powerful sort of rock voice (that rough edge that youngsters sometimes lack).
And as for Rodgers not being the greatest entertainer because he's old... he sounds better and we have to consider the blind people in the crowd. The ones who don't care if he can turn cartwheels.

I can play the piano immaculately, and figured out most of his compositions by ear.
I can sing the D two octaves below middle C up to the and the F an octave above on the right day. AND I do it with cool smoothness OR biting intensity!

Listen, you have to face facts, he has Robbie Williams outgunned. You also have to acknowledge that Robbie Williams is a fair bit younger than Rodgers. Musicians have a funny habit of getting better with age so ONE DAY your precious Robbie Williams might just be competent enough to take on Queen stuff. But not yet.

Robbie williams is an overhyped former boy band cunt who has been inflated by the likes of radio 1 and the record industry in the uk. Paul Rogers, along with freddie, jagger, daltrey, plant, coverdale, dio, gillan is a classic rock singer from the same era as queen. he is a long time friend of brian, (bm played on his muddy waters tribute album.) yes he plays paino and guitar too and does wear a syrup on his head.
