What happened to these keyboard players
Morgan Fisher - keyboards/piano on European Hot Space tour (09.04.1982 - 05.06.1982)
Fred Mandel - keyboards/piano on the rest of Hot Space tour (21.07.1982 - 03.11.1982)

Morgen was afraid of flying apparently & fred became Elton John's keyboard player.
so spike edney took over for the rest of their touring days?
who did they have before morgan and ... the... other dude?

Before Morgan, Freddie handled the synth parts (Japanese Tour, 1981, four or five gigs only). Then after recording Hot Space they felt they needed someone extra. I personally disagree and I think (imho) that they could have done all tours just the four of them. Extreme proved that Ga Ga can be played with only bass, drums and guitar; for other tracks like Friends Will Be Friends Freddie could play the piano.
But I think the extra person helped them out alot. I mean the CLTCL version with piano is much better than without. It could very well be Spike was a better guitar player than freddie & thats why he played in Hammer to Fall. Also the vocals are much better because Spike sang & that made 4 vocal parts (5 if John ever sang).
yeah i always wondered why johnnie didnt sing much. even if it was just backup...

Freddie and Brian. Brian played the Attack of the Hawkmen live.
Mike Moran is my favorite. no doubt he is the best songwriter of those 4!
