Here is a big hot stuff from Emilio in Spain (thanks a lot, Emilio!) :

A few days ago, i bought the spanish edition of Rolling Stone magazine and i found that pic of John in Lanzarote taken from a spanish band -not very famous- called Quebec. That's what they said about the pic:

"Hi, we're the band Quebec and for 19 months we have been doing over 500 gigs tributing The Beatles. The last gig in Lanzarote, in may 2004, we went to play at Harley Rock and we saw, sitting here without anyone recognising him, Queen's John Deacon. He told us he hasn't played anymore the bass since the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, he only meets sometimes some friends and plays the drums a little time".

THE DRUMS?! :-O

Dont think this this is true bout him not playin bass since 92 he played on no 1 but u an show must go on in 97

He played on MIH album too. And performance of The Show Must Go On was at 1998.

No, it was '97, I'm 100% positive.

It is '97. You are right.
Love ya guys!:)
Oh yeah, I'm sorry!
Assuming there's hair on top of his head that is short and dark enough to disappear into the dark background in a small low-res pic, I think Deaky looks terrific for a guy his age. I'm just sorry he's apparently serious about the whole retirement thing, although I wish him well.
Blow it out your ass.
still cute in an odd way....

Well... he looks just as old as Roger.
Still looks like John, just older. :-)

does anyone know why he was in spain or who with?
I want to break free from your lies you're so self satisfied I don't need you
I don't think he looks bad at all for 53. As for the hair loss, it just proves that it's only Brian that can keep the same hairstyle for thirty years!
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.
He seemed to be balding in '89...

oh well...
at least he's aging gracefully
