It's like deja vu - I've seen this topic few mins ago and posted reply... Well, here I am again: No, he didn't play drums! And Brian didn't play guitar on Living On My Own though he appears in the video!

Was it just Roger and Freddie who appeared "in drag" for the video? I know that it was supposed to be part of Freddie's solo career, but Roger was in the video...

Roger provided some backing vocals and appeared in the video, in drag, along with Freddie and Peter Straker, who was a friend of Freddie's. Roger didn't play drums on the track. The original mix of "The Great Pretender" from 1987 was Freddie's highest charting solo single until the remixed "Living on My Own" gave him his only solo #1 in 1993.
