Who likes "Don`t Lose Your Head"?

I DO!!! (since 1993) Most Queen Fans hate it, but why??
Because it sounds 80s? .... So what?

I think the only forgettable track on AKOM is
"Pain is so close to pleasure", but all the other songs are quite good. "Don`t Lose Your Head" fits perfect to the Highlander-soundtrack and it really sounds like a film score - very epic. A perfect encore for the next song on the album, "Princes of the Universe"

I actually really enjoy it.

I like it, not my favourite, but it's OK. The "don't drink and drive the car"-part sounds great!

"Don't loose your head" is one of my all time favourites. I even [kind of slightly] crashed my car once due to alcohol while listening to it (really). :)

As for "Pain is so close to pleasure", try the US 12" version, it almost saves the track.

the whole album is great when listened thru head-phones sounds the best. i aint heard the 12" usa version...hmmmm

Peter, some fans hates all songs from 'AKOM' even! I can't see any obvious reasons for it.

'Don't Lose Your Head' is the weakest song on the album. Underneath all the crappy production and generic mid-eighties pop sound on A Kind Of Magic (coincidentally, I prefer the single version of 'Pain Is So Close To Pleasure' over the album version), there really is a great set of songs, but 'Don't Lose Your Head' is probably the worst. Oddly enough, I like 'A Dozen Red Roses For My Darling', which would've been a better inclusion.

I haven't listened to it properley.

Like many, I don't really like the lyrics but I like the instruments. Freddie's voice sounds awesome, though.

And for the record, I like AKOM :-)

its one of my faves! i love it its typical roger taylor, love joan armatradings trade offs too

i like it cos instantly sound s like Roger, prefer his others songs though like coming soon? dont know whether anybody likes it? :-s

I went through a phase a couple of years back where it was the only song I played im my car, I actually love it! Nice n loud.

I personally don't like it. I thnk it is too repetetive.
