Yeah, that sounds about right. Probably why he stuck around in the band for the next few years, too.
I know personally that John felt ripped off, never appreciated when blowing to this mute microphone nowone could hear him on wembley arena stage or in milton keynes or even in budokan japan.. John always had bad feelings, shit men..He felt underrated.. the other's had their voices hear out.. but poor john's only instument was his trusty bass.. I feel pity that man!! and so should you.. John had all the right to sing!! along with freddie.. Im ready to find an association to rebound john's losses.. and the loss of us.. the listeners.. who is willing to take care of our mental damage??
John's microphone actually saved Freddie from technical failures, most notably and visibly seen in the Argentina 81 video. The "Save Me" part, where Freddie's mic started acting up. He used a back-up mic, then used John's mic, and when the piano part came, he used his piano's mic.
