For ages and ages, I thought Brian sang Dear Friends, and it turns out it was Freddie.
Now, over 6 years after I first got into Queen, I've just realised that it's the same f**king thing for Put Out The bastard Fire!!
How come I can't tell who sings these songs!!

I thought John was the lead vocalist!!

Stupidly, I used to think that whoever wrote the song was the one who sang it (so Brian would sing We Will Rock You, John would sing Spread Your Wings, etc.).
Ah, I can't figure out half the time who is singing what where. I got very confused while I was listening to the Live Killers version of '39 - Brian's voice had chaged a lot. Took me a bit to figure out that it wasn't Brian.
For a month I thought Freddie did lead vocals on All Dead, All Dead. But then I actually took time to read the CD sleeve... Yeah, I felt pretty stupid.
Fun It confused me for a few minutes, thinking that Freddie did the low-note parts...

Freddie sings lead vocals on Put Out The Fire.
I always thought that Brian sang lead on 39' and Good Company, But just recently discovered that it was indeed Roy Baker.

Really? I think you're wrong- I always thought it was Roy too, until 2 days ago I met him in the supermarket. I asked him for his autograph for singing those two songs, but he told me he didn't sing them, instead Brian's aunt did. I never would have thought that it was a woman singing...
Anyway, so I told him I didn't want his autograph anymore and asked him where I could find brian's aunt. Turns out she was the cashier.
Wow... I stand correcter... :|
Maybe just buy the CD's instead of listening to low quality mp3. Freddie's voice is very discernible. Can't believe you guys mix Fred's and Bri's voice up :s
