Have to disagree with you regarding Lisa Stansfield at Wembley.

I think her entrance is one of the most memorable bits of the show.

To come on stage wearing a headscarf and pushing a vacumm cleaner as per the video made my hair stand on end as it was such a great parody.

She probably offered herself on a plate to them because she can ONLY get a gig with Bowie anyhow.....

Bassist WILL BE Pino Palladino - take THAT as official........[/QUOTE]

According to the administrator of QOL who attended a Queen meeting last week, it won't be Pino, as he is unavailable.
I asked in him in a PM and that was his reply to me.

i think that the bassman will be the one who played the pavarotti and friends, i remember he played well.

If Neil Murray stops dancing and clapping hands on the stage (it looks VERY ridiculous!!!), I vote for him.

I'm for Neil Murray too.
But now it's time to be gone - forever...

I really love the version of "I want to break free" with Lisa Stansfield. IMHO the best live performance of the song ever. Don't kill me for that :)

I've e-mailed Pino on his website. Wonder what it will say!! He's been my first choice all along now that I've accepted than John won't be there.
We all of us deeply apologise for this god forsaken shit heap of a building...but we will make it rock. Brian May Wembley Pavilion 11.05.05.

Well, first of all, Pino Palladino is a great choice, not a mere substitute and also Murray..
Technically they are better than John, but anyway any of them would give no 'handicap' to the skills of the entire band.

I don't know Gail Ann, but I really don't see why a woman couldn't play on stage with our 'heroes'...
And still I don't see why a girl couldn't join a rock band. I love Garbage and their vocalist, Shirley Manson.
Yep, no comparison with Queen, but no bad also.

And in a couple of songs a nice female voice could help with the backing vocals, as we know Brian tends to 'whisper' instead of singin' while playin' choruses.

I loved Lisa in the FM tribute too, it was great to see at least a couple of women on stage - Annie Lennox was great too (one of my favourite female performers) - but I don't understand why so many don't like Gail-Ann - she is a great talent and could at least sing abit of "Under Pressure". And what is wrong with some girls on stage? You people who say you are not "sexist" - well sorry, I think you are !! It should be about the talent - not gender.
If a chick can play it - then she should get the gig, if she meets the criteria of the band - the gender ought not matter.
Anyway, some chicks have "more balls" than half the poncy men you see on stage these days !!
