a happy retirement? lol
Well, sometimes musicians with similar tastes get to play together GREAT 1st time!
So next bass player doesn't really have to know Bri & Rog since ages, and anyway everyone knows them as musician, their styles etc.
So stay safe, whoever will be it'll be good.

Yeah.. i agree. Give him a break!! We'd love to see him.. but we gotta lay off him about this. The more we pressure him the less likely he's gunna come back
John is retired!!!
End of story.
End of story.
I care. Even if he's retired - they need to invite him.
^.^
I love your proud and straight talking!
And the fact you feel free to say whatever You think!
That's the way

People use to tell me I'm mean also...
So i understand what You mean.
And you don't have to tell me you're sweet, it's clear! I am too, but I can be fighting when it needs.
I think I got what You mean cos for those things we sound quite similar.

There has been some speculation that John wasn't even invited to tour. I have no idea if this is true or not but it wouldnt surprise me.
Clearly neither Roger or Brian have anything other then a business relationship with John. Why bother asking someone who clearly (as evidenced by his actions) does not want to have anything to do with Queen anymore.
That is John's decision and I respect his right to make it. I would also then respect Brian and Rogers decision not to invite him. Why would you want someone so negative about the tour to be around? To gain more legitamacy for the use of the Queen name?
I personally would like to see a bass player there who is as excited about the tour as Brian or Roger is. If thats not John anymore then bring on Pino Pallodino or whoever else they have in mind!
I agree with you UP TO A CERTAIN POINT. Deaky doen't have to come if he doesn't want to. But, the way you are talking about Deaky, it seems like you are offending him, and I dont want to offend John.
Trust me folks...John is not entirely out of the picture....
Keep yer eyes open.....
Heh heh heh....

i think they would have invited him. none of us know what the relationship between roger, brian & john is. they probably understand and know exactly why he wants to be retired. what is the point in further speculation. if you want to know why don't you ask brian or roger or find john and ask him.
I GOT TIRED OF THIS! John simply retired cos for him there's no Queen without Freddie, who was like an 'older brother' more than a mere friend.
Believe me it's all in here, he ONLY played with the others twice, for 'no one but you' and the whoe must go on with elton john (there was a charity thing, that's the reason).
SO PLEASE STOP ASKING, BEGGING...PRAYING...HE IS R-E-T-I-R-E-D. That's all, folks.
And I don't think Brian and John hear from him so often as many of you may think!!

True...they don't hear from him at all really. When they do, it's almost THEM calling HIM.
They ask for his thoughts on being including or contributions to new releases (which are really just re-releases..let's face it) but other then that they really don't communicate much on a personla level.
Brian has laready commented a few months ago that they hardly ever hear from him anymore.
He is quite content doing what he is doing now.

i wish i can see Deacy with BR & RT again performing live... with or without PR
he was in fact asked
Yes. Brian said they asked him, and I'll take his word over baseless internet rumours any day of the week.
John, to my knowledge, has made no reputable public statement about Brian and Roger's activities, so nobody has any grounds for any kind of assumptions about his opinion or feelings towards Roger and Brian AT ALL.

I would have been very pleasantly surprised, but knowing John, it wouldn't happen. I haven't spoken to him for about a year. He has decided to hide away - and I respect that.I think he was a little more fragile and not as well equipped to deal with the rough and tumble of everyday existence. He prefers not to undergo the stress of it all. He'd never stop us using the Queen name. We wondered, when we started the musical. But John told us he liked it, he approved. So would they've spoken to him? Bri maybe, but I doubt it.
