yep, i think i feel the same way.
for a deep purple concert i even knew the songs in play order..
but they surprise me the same, as the Don Airey (their new keyboard player) had a medley with a part took from a Sardinian folk song!!!
P.s.: seems like a huge family: my fave concerts were Robert Plant and Deep Purple; Paul Rodgers played with Jimmy Page and Don Airey played (also) with Brian May and Cosy Powell.
Queen-Led Zeppelin -Deep Purple...nod bad uh?

yea i went to see deep purple in Newcastle which was amazing.
and here is another interesting fact Don Airey is from near where i live aswell (Sunderland). All the great rock musicians come from around here :op

he's really really really great!
The only really famous guy from where I live i think it's Gianfranco Zola, a soccer player, lol.
I'm in an island and it's not so crowded, that's all :-P
Should have done a concert at the Riverside (no-one else has ever done one there) - instead of us 'smoggies' having to to Geordieland and risk our cars getting nicked.[/QUOTE]
Erm at least we don't glow in the dark.
