Have a look at e-bay and type in "Queen Tickets", It's amazing, some guy has 30 tickets for each UK venue ......

What I want to know is how these rip-off bastards got their tickets!!
There was a limit of 2 per person if I remember for the lottery and 6 per person for pre-sales. Question is...how many people are so desperate to see Queen that they'll pay anything for the chance....or they might leave it a bit longer knowing that if tickets are not selling well prices will drop. It's a f****** shambles,
joke really and boils down to one thing......how much money can be made.....and how quickly.

Spoke to Val regading this and expressed "Our" feelings. the way it goes (from some of those being offered)is that you pay for the tickets and are told to pick them up from the box office before the gig. Guess What.... There ain't any tickets there. The other one is that you get a forged ticket sent through the post which is detected on the night....
That is frightening that they can get away with it

Getmetickets.net were featured on Watchdog..... UK TV Tuesday nights....this week - 25/01/05 and were exposed as out and out crooks!!!.
They advertised "front row seats" for a f****** open air festival which didn't have ANY seats. There was some punter who had paid £390 for a pair of Glastonbury 2004 tickets and as all tickets are printed with the original buyers name & address they will only let you in if you can prove you are that person. Obviously nobody other than the original buyer can therefore get in. He turned up for the weekend with his £390 and would'nt let him in.... probably no ID with address on. Getmetickets refused to reimburse.
You might think.....TV exaggeration and all that-but there's no smoke without fire! I got this from a mate and didn't see it for myself. DON'T TOUCH WITH A BARGEPOLE UNLESS OF COURSE YOU HAVE MONEY TO BURN OR ARE TOTALLY STUPID!! These sharks/bastards need a good kicking!!

Saw your programme regarding the continuing problems with getmetickets.net.
As you may know, Queen have announced that they are touring for the first time in nearly 20 years, with Paul Rodgers from Free. Tickets for all the UK shows have already sold out. The first date is a special show at The Brixton Academy, tickets priced at £55. This show is for Queen fan club members only, and tickets are being allocated by way of a lottery. Only people who were members of the fan club (and Queenonline.com) prior to the tour being announced could enter, and then only for a maximum two tickets each. The draw was oversubscribed, with approx 4 applications for each available ticket.
With that in mind, many Queen fans would like to know how it is that getmetickets.net were able to advertise tickets for Brixton Academy, at £395 each, before the draw for fan club members have even been made !
Their response would be interesting
