I never really understanded all the fuss about the Works finale in South Africa. Can someone explain it to me?

I think it was because of the apartheid. No blacks were allowed to attend, so Queen was performing for an all white (segregated) audience.
the gigs were in Sun City - but the fact that sth africa was still apartheid-run was all that mattered -
even though blacks were allowed to attend - the audience was segregated - so queen were seen to be condoning this even though Roger has said they weren't aware of the segregation issue and later admitted that the whole thing was an error of judgement on queen's part

Wait. Didn't Brian say that they performed for both WHITE and BLACK fans?
Okay... I was wrong. But I had the right idea.
They played 7 concerts at Super Bowl in Sun City, in Bophuthatswana.

Unfortunatelly, concerts were not filmed... not even audio recording exists, as far as I now.
