i dont think he hates john i just think he's annoyed b/c john wont join queen again and for dissing robbie in public lol good for john being strong and not being pressurised into doing something he dont want to do "without freddie"!!
i know that john used to look up to freddie as kind of big brother, you can tell he looks buzzed up in past interviews where he says he worked on this or that with freddie..

well i don't think roger hates john, it's just that sometimes the way he criticizes his songs sounds more like putting him down. if he comments on freddie's songs, he'll always add in something positive but with john it's another story. anyway, it doesn't matter; i agree that he's probably just pissed that john's being antisocial these days so fine, i'll accept that

yeah and i actually heard a live version of Robbie singing the song where he butchered the damn thing. forgot the lyrics in some places and it was just horrible so good on John cuz he was right...although sometimes i questions if he really said what he did about robbie
It's certainly John. At the time, John had been silent for years. He could have expressed his feelings about many other things concerning Queen, but in this case, I suppose he just couldn't stand it hearing Williams destroying such a great song, one of Freddie's prides - and we all know the respect John had for Freddie.
