Now try this one!

Had to push when you got busted
Had to help you get adjusted
Had to pick up pieces after you'd been thro'

Got me, what is it? Anyone have a clue?

ThomasQuinn must have written that song by himself.... Even with google I can't find that song..

So I will bring up a new one:

It’s late in the evening
She’s wondering what clothes to wear
She puts on her make up
And brushes her long blonde hair

I got to try al little more, because I'm an asshole but I'm learning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfTLkUcQ7QY

Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton

He goes out
he don't have no doubt
he don't have to know
what the world's about.

That's a bit more obscure...but it's "My Brother Jake" by Free.

Build 'em high, build 'em tall
A tycoon with a basketball
Tear 'em down, one and all
Seven-foot-two is a long way to fall
God wants you to send me some money. "Seven spades doubled, vulnerable, making seven? You BITCH."
B
of course - how stupid of us!!!!

it must've been played at least ONCE somewhere in world radio....must've forgot to tune in on the crystal set

how many copies did it sell world-wide? about sixteen?

No one knows the one I posted? That makes me sad. It's a terrific song.
God wants you to send me some money. "Seven spades doubled, vulnerable, making seven? You BITCH."

To be fair, I tried, and I couldn't find it either!
To cast aside the fury of the battle. To turn my weary eyes for home.

Ok geeksandgeeks, you've killed the game, so what track did those lyrics come from?
To cast aside the fury of the battle. To turn my weary eyes for home.

It wasn't a single. The album went double platinum. Now doesn't that make you look like a complete retard? Why are you so hostile, just because you couldn't find the answer?

not hostile - i was merely highlighting the fact that you chose to find a song that YOU knew nobody on here would ever know - at least the other songs were known by a few of us, and no it doesn't make me look a retard - this album track didn't go platinum on it's own - so i am just someone who doesn't share the same musical likes as yourself..if anything YOUR need to find something so unheard of shows that YOU consider yourself above the rest of us...a little elitest and pretentious in the least.....

and there are thousands of albums that go double-platinum (mainly classical offerings) but the vast majority of pop music fans would have NEVER heard any of the album tracks

I would say you took round 1 ;-) Well Done!
Round 2 has (I think) also been won! I used Google (for shame!) and got Sweet Lew by Pearl Jam, but won't claim it as I used Google.
Anyhoo, shall we start round 3?

Love,
Hi Rick,
Hi Dave,
Hi Pop,
Well good morning mom

So basically, what you're telling me is I can't use anything that wasn't a top-20 hit?

now who's being retarded?
practically every song-lyric listed so far failed to make the top 20 - but we still had a person or two work them out, or know them

my point was you chose something obscure to be "better than everyone else" - that is sadly elitest

Now this one:

Baby I want you
Like the roses want the rain
You know I need you
Like the poet needs the pain

Sun King - The Beatles

Christ that was tough - you know when something rings a bell but you just can't quite remember where? Abbey Road is my favourite Beatles album!
Anyway on with the game...

He's the hairy-handed gent who ran amuck in Kent
Lately he's been overheard in Mayfair
Better stay away from him
He'll rip your lungs out, Jim
