A friend of mine thought of this, but I wonder if dinner at John Deacon's house goes alittle like this:

*awkward silence...awkward silence...awkward silence*

JOSHUA: *slams down fork* GOD DAMMIT, DAD! WOULD IT KILL YOU TO JOIN THE TOUR!?

JOHN: *silent*

VERONICA: JOSH, GO TO YOUR ROOM!

I know I'd be pissed if my dad was a rock artist and declined what could be the last tour of his old band.

Yeah, Ive been thinking about the same thing for a while now. If I was one of John Deacons kids Id be pretty pissed as well. Not only that hes been hiding out so to speak, but hiding out with strippers? I mean I'm still in the dark with this whole John Deacon drama, and I guess will never find out the really story untill Peter Freestone, or Jim Hutton or mabey even Jim Beach writes their book "QUEEN" LIFE AFTER FREDDIE"

That's actually not a bad idea there. Maybe his Baker bandmates are refusing to let him join Queen, hence the reason for no Deacons on this tour at all ;-)

He's got 2 kids that have NEVER seen him in action, and really, what's stopping him? Sure he's grown older but I'm sure he still plays from time to time.

....What about strippers?

John isn't "hiding out" with strippers. he's been to a few shows like the rest of the male population does - there's nothing strange, or wrong with that, is there? Adn that's me assuming that it's all above board stuff in terms of what he's going there to see.

If I was John's child, I'd be pretty pleased that THIS TIME, he's chosen to stay at hiome with his family as opposed to leaving them for the road again. Can you even begin to imagine all the amazing times he has missed out on with his family BECAUSE of touring and how that must have felt to them?

Respect the guy for his decision.

What makes you think that they know any more that "we" do?

Whats stopping him? HE is the only one to accept that a Queen tour without Freddie is impossible.
I admire him tremendously for the fact that he says "no" to all this shit and ripp-offs. Bring on the Queen box and let this awful tour rest in peace!

are you sure 2 JOhn's kids never saw dad John live? what about the 1997 "The show must go on" with Elton John?
Anything too stupid to be said... is sung.

Obviously it isn't.

I'd rather have this tour, than the Queen box. But, of course, I hope that that too will see the light of day one day!
