Look at brianmay.com. It's almost sure there will be no US Tour, "because Clear Channel have at the last minute pulled out of the dates they were involved in"

I think he means the WWRY touring company...I don't think he means the Paul Rodgers tour...

No problem at all, my friend! I wonder if Clear Channel was offically sponsoring the travelling company, but pulled out for one reason or another, leaving them without proper financial backing...Can't Deniro step in here with his clout and money?

Hey guys! How's it going? Quick question...who/what is Clear Channel? I know they must be the WWRY tour sponsor, but I'm not familiar with them...kinda disappointed because at one point I know Brian said the tour would launch in Chicago, which is where I live. But, I guess that won't happen now!

Nono, it's the promotor! Same as for instance Mojo over here in Holland. The organisation who's job it is to look for a decent venue and try to 'sell' their show to it (yes, a venue pays for shows!). When they found the venue they are also the ones to make the advertisement AND the ones that make the tickets go on sale.

clearchannel entertainment, ticket promoter / seller / distributor etc
