the old black and white ones where the people walk around like penguins and dont talk and have subtitels because they dont speek and there is allways pianos playing in the background

i love John Wayne - i know he didn't do many silent movies - but his later stuff was fantastic, and he was repsonsible for one brilliant quote on silence:

"Talk low, talk slow, and don't talk too much."
