OK, I'm slightly wrong. There was the 46664 DVD, from South Africa, but QP had nothing to do with it other than license the songs used on the DVD/CD release.

I still stand corrected though.

Do you see any new live DVD releases coming up that AREN'T from the UK?

Someone should e-mail Brian about this...and I sure ain't doing that

You can't e-mail Brian?Why?
ki o tsukete ne!take care!
And I've noticed they've released live DVDs from '80s not form '70s. Though their skills of '80s were better than '70s especially in live stages, but I wonder what made them do like that really ? It seems they have no intention to release from '70s. I'm afraid that they are going to put them in the vaults. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed?

Dark, emailing Brian about this conspiracy is not enough. Publish it!

I wonder how many people have emailed to Brian about this so far...
Je vais bien. Estoy bien.
Probably one or none
I think I was too pessimistic and rather sarcastic, well conspiracy is good point...so something is needed more and more...more enthusiasm? or writing skill? to make Brian and others move. Besides I think we sometimes need to discuss such topics.

Maybe they want to release English concerts. So? Why do you care. I wouldn't care if they released all American concerts or all German concerts.

Plus give it some time. There has only been 4 live DVDs. One was Freddie's Tribute and one of those was Canadian. Any concerts on vid are bound to end up on DVD some time surely.

Like I said, the Canadian one is NOT owned by QP, and Brian has disowned it publicly. So Queen really had nothing to do with the DVD release.
And then there's of course that Japanese release from the Works tour...
I have just finished converting onto mpeg VCD (from VHS) about 5 hours of footage from the Queen Convention in 2003. This included an interview with the two dudes that "cleaned up" the Wembley DVD and they were asked by the conventioners what other shows would be considered to be worthy of cleaning up for release? One of them they mentioned that is in good quality is PARIS 1979.
So I have that on tape !!!
I thought that was exciting, coz I love Freddie in that time period too.

...which I believe is only owned by EMI Toshiba, and therefore not available commercially outside of Japan (except of course on the Internet and thru special orders - VERY expensive of course!)

And not just the one from the Works '85 tour, but the one from the Japanese Hot Space '82 tour as well, also not available outside of Japan in general
'85 tour in Japan is owned by Watanabe Music, not EMI.It's not a complete one, only 90min.

What a stupid theory. You have too much time on your hands.

Well you were talking about DVDs, so I didn't mention the other release... :P

I actually bought that Final Live DVD for a little over £20 (which is only slightly above the normal Finnish prices), and it says "P&C 1992 Queen Films Ltd, under exclusive license Watanabe Music Publishing".

Another good conspiracy theory that I could make from this is that there isn't enough faith in the global interest of these products. Every company seems to target their releases only for the domestic market. :/
