Hey, does anybody know (of course, I am sure s.o. knows) if Queen played "A Kind Of Magic" live at FM Tribute Concert 1992 ? I remember s.o. saying they would play it (Roger on vocals)before the concert. Haven`t seen and heard about it but I want to know it for sure. Anyway I can`t expect see them live on stage (got tickets for Frankfurt Show)unfortunately without John.

no, they didn't - wasn't enough time, apparently.

I think it was supposed to be played, but due to Spinal Tap's set being longer due to problems or something they cancelled AKOM. I THINK Chris Thompson was supposed to sing it?

No they didn't!!! It was planned but they didn't have the time! I heard somewhere that another two songs including Magic were planned but they ran out of time. If Spinal Tap, Elizabeth Taylor's speech or Bob Geldof's pathetic, shitty song had been axed they would have definitely played it! I think that Chris Thompson the musical director was going to sing Magic but I'm not sure.
We all of us deeply apologise for this god forsaken shit heap of a building...but we will make it rock. Brian May Wembley Pavilion 11.05.05.

Anyone else wants to repeat the same information?

Besides: wrong section.

Roger was supposed to sing it (according to the que-sheet) and it was the only song that WAS on the que-sheet that was NOT actually played.

uhm...a 3 hours concert and there was no time for a kind of magic?!?
Anything too stupid to be said... is sung.

Yeah, I heard that years ago. And as Pim said, it was because they couldnt get Christopher Guest's guitar working.

Although I did find the banter quite entertaining!
