I also heard a version that Freddie smashed a mirror over Jim Beach's head, which I find unlikely.
I remember reading once reading that Freddie would throw tantrums backstage if his mic stopped working or if there were strong sound problems due to feedback. I don't know where he would actually hit people, but he would indeed start smashing things around.
