I know a lot of you people say that Muse is heavily influenced by Queen, but since I know many of you guys like Muse where can I find interviews with Muse talking about Queen?

Lots of times, Matthew(singer, songwriter, guitarist) talked about his admiration for Queen and respect, but also his fave song of all time is We Are The Champions. Just read some interviews or download some radioshows with them, it pops up a few times.
We love you Mandy!
I can't give you specific names of magazines or adresses for audio interviews, but Fairy above, is right. They mention Queen quite often!

(You take it from an 'elite', right? ;-)
oh yes, longtime fan xD luv em
We love you Mandy!
Does anyone else really like Muse's latest effort, Absolution? Personally, I think the music is really fantastic. I get a similar feeling that I have from listening to some Queen tracks.

I rarely get that same feeling from Queen music, that I do from other bands I enjoy listening to. What do you think?

Peace,
Adam.
Absolution? Very rarely I get stunned by an album as much as I did with Absolution. And believe me, both because of my personal passion as for my work, I hear A LOT of new (and old) albums! I have to admit though that I've been a big Muse fan ever since the first album. But on the other hand: my expectations for this album where very very very high and I was not dissappointed for one second! Contrairy; that album is even better then I expected.
In the media I write for I voted Absolution album of the year in my editor's end-of-the-year top 10. But personally I still find it one of the best albums EVER made. Everything on it is totally right, up to the sleeve design and it will definately still be up there after a lot of years. A potential all-time classic, if you ask me.
Did I already mention that Muse is one of the best live acts on the planet right now?? ;-)
I totally agree with you, Jeroen.

Before I buy music I usually listen to audio samples online and many times it takes me a while to finally decide whether I should buy an specific album or not. When I first heard 'Time Is Running Out' on the radio I was so blow away of how great that song was that I immediatly felt the urge to listen to what Muse had to offer, and not only I bought 'Absolution', but also 'Showbiz' and 'The Origin Of Symetry'.

A lot of people might tell you that Muse sounds too much like Radiohead, and perhaps they might be some similarities between both bands, but Muse takes the whole thing a lot further by making it more experimental, louder, bolder, and enjoyable to listen.

'Absolution' is absolutely (no pun intended) the best album of the past 5 years, possibly the past 10.

Queen Rock Planet Muse
We Are The Cahmpions is number 1 on the list of songs that rock Muses planet.

In an interview in the Rock magazine RIP & Burn the British rock band Muse stated in their interview that We Are The Champions is the number one song for them, here is the exact quote from the interview :

"Because it's genius Queen weren't afraid to do anything. "I consider it a challange before the whole human race and I aint gonna Lose" - those are the best lyrics I've ever heard. chris from Muse

I've seen them live twice and they ROCK.
that's enough about me, now, what do you think of me ?
Nice quote, Mala-kot! ;-)

Actually, MrJingles, I was not too impressed when I heard Time Is Running Out for the first time on radio! I still find it the least good song on the album.

My first favourite was Stockholm Syndrome (now it varies and I cannot realy decide).

I truly believe that one day Muse will give us a new 'Bohemian Rhapsody' ;-)
I'm very upset that I couldn't see Muse last November when they came here to NY.

Somehow they have been promoted well enough here in the States and they're still only allowed to play clubs, which compared to the arenas that they play in Europe is nothing.
However they still have a very strong cult fan base here in America, and it was thanks to them that their popularity here has grown fast.
Hopefully the next time they tour the States I will finally be able to see them, and even better if they let them play larger venues.

Yes, they became huge in no-time over here!
But they have played almost EVERY festival almost EVERY year for the last five!
Add to that the regular concerts and we get a chance to see them a lot. I've seen them nine times now and every single gig of them was truly awesome! I realy hope you get a chance to see them soon!!
They are very good live....probably the odd live concert kicking around ebay...
A few years ago my cousin was drumming in a band, and they supported Muse in a pretty low key gig locally. My cousin called me the next day and told me to watch out for a band called Muse cos they were going to be massive. I think they are one of a very few bands around at the minute that could still be around in 15/20 years. They are absolutely superb. Its very rare im without Absolution in my car!!
I think there is alot of mutual respect between the 2 bands.
Chom own mudder fukker.
i heard some media in italy talking about "feeling good" as a new Bohemian Rhapsody.

I love many Muse songs, from Stockholm Syndrome to Unintended, PLug in babe, Hysteria, Sunburn, Muscle Museum....ah and many others!

And their live show is LOUD ;)
Anything too stupid to be said... is sung.
They are great live, saw them in Rotterdam nov.2003!

Fan since late 2001(Bliss era) a fellow Queenfan sent me Unintended thru msn and i'm in luv ever since xD i agree Absolution is really great, very bombastic, dramatic and high quality. Hope they release something new this year xD can't wait...
We love you Mandy!
