1975.
Golden year for Queen.
And yes....the year of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Do you (in your opinion) think that Freddie would have enjoyed that?
Or did he see it?
And enjoy it?
Cause good god....
it only seems like something he would absolutely love, don't you think? Especially Tim Curry as the most fantastic transvestite I've ever seen, heh.
so what are your thoughts people?
Cheers

Kind of wierd because i thought Tim Curry and Freddie would have got along really well because of his character in Rocky Horror and recently i read a book about Freddie and it mentioned Tim twice. It didn't exactly say that they were friends but he went to at least one of his birthday parties.
He was offered the part for the stage show numerous times. A friend of mine asked richard obrien who personally offered the part of frank 'n' furter to him at least three times.
This would have been the perfect part for Freddie...I mean a bisexual transvestite...need I say more!!
Actually, Tim Curry in RHPS reminds me a lot of 70s Freddie. It was the first thing I thought when I saw it.
As good a singer as Freddie is, I can't imagine him singing something like "I'm Going Home" or "Sweet Transvestite" Leave it to Tim Curry.
I can sorta see "I'm Going Home," but definitley not "Sweet Transvestite."
lol ... FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg my two favourite... things.. clashed together!!!
Freddie singing "Going Home" or "Super heroes" would just be awesome! It would have been fantastic if they'd done the music for this movie...

I could always see Freddie as Frank...and I've always liked Brians take on "Whatever happened to Saturday Night" - He'd need to put on some lbs though!
Yes. Leave Sweet Transvestite to Tim Curry and leave Bohemian Rhapsody to Paul McCartney. Freddie can have Maxwell's Silver Hammer.
Sorted that out, eh?

Tim Curry did meet Freddie in 1976 in London there are pictures of Peter Straker, Tim Curry and Freddie that were taken and placed into a book.
Freddie was seeing David Minns at the time.

Totally unrelated...but I saw RHPS for the first time last year and not realising who Tim Curry was I was shocked to discover he was the nasty man in the hotel in Home Alone 2 - those movies were such a staple of my childhood! I liked Rocky Horror better, needless to say.
LOL i love Home Alone 2!!!!!!!
hehehehe
Tim is funny!!! Although I'll always know him as Frank....
I quite liked him in Charlie's Angels.. the first one.. even if he did die.
oh well lol

I used to play Frank N Furter at Rocky years ago at the movie theater :)
Then the videotape came out and it was canceled :(
But anyway, yeah the way Frank is so cocky in his leather is so Freddie Mercury :) We should have worked some Freddie lines in there somewhere....

I'm Eddie in my unofficial cast of school friends. I hope to soon see it in the theatre!
