Do you know what was the reason of writing "Jesus"? All lyrics is about life of Jesus Christ, but I don`t think they were very religious people.

Just curious - how many topics about 'Jesus' are here?!
I started it all with my Jesus topic baby, yeah!
Anyway, I think the reason for these lyrics was that the life of Jesus was a very mystical sort of thing, and it fit well with the other lyrics about fairies and kings and stuff like that. It kind of takes you away to another place, another time, where incredible things were happening.
No, they weren't very religious, but the song isn't a song of personal devotion or anything (like the lame Christian rock songs "Oh I love you Jesus / You're so awesome Jesus" type lyrics). It basically just repeats some of what the historical record contains about Jesus, making no judgements about it. The main thing about the song I think was to capture how Jesus attracted so many people with his teachings and works and convey some of the excitement that followed him. The chorus sums this up very well:
"All goin' down to SEEEEEEEE the Lord Jesus..."
So I think it fits well on the album.

interesting coincidence -- Jesus being royalty -- "Queen" -- most albums do have some direct reference to the mystical (ie Prophet's Song and All God's People)
It's just a darn good song! Freddie was all about "churchy" lyrics back then, and they fit REALLY well. I mean, just look at "Mad The Swine" also an awesome song with very "churchy" lyrics.
They weren't sure where they were headed at the time... Silver Salmon, Mad The Swine, Jesus... all praise songs... If you check the album notes you'll notice that it's not John Deacon, but "Deacon John". I think I read it in "As It Began" that Freddie thought it would be an interesting angle to try but John didn't like it so it was dropped entirely on Queen II, where he was from then on called "John Deacon".
I heard that was just a spelling mistake.
no, a spelling mistake would be spelling the name wrong, and Deacon John is way too big of an obvious error to even be an error. It was puporsely done.
