Has anyone noticed the vocal fix on Fat Bottom girls?

If you havent seen this gig before it was released on DVD you wont even notice as the fix is seamless...

However an edited version of this gig was screened as a tribute to Freddie in early 1992 i believe, and in that version during Fat Bottom Girls he sings a 'bum note' which seems to have been cunningly re-dubbed for the DVD release.

Does anyone know what I mean? please someone varify this so i dont look a fool hehe i have it on tape somewhere so i know it to be true...

Yes, this has been mentioned several times on this board. It's amazing how they can do this.

Officially, there are no overdubs whatsoever. But I am no expert, nor do I have the "original" concert. There are some more experienced guys here...

yea i noticed it,
who's noticed freddie on we will rock you concert 81 vid freddie singing killer queen and it looks like hes deffo miming it, strange b/c he's singing live on the rest of the show,:S
oo la la
THe We Will Rock You DVD has been put together from various concerts. The producers always changed the soundtrack. That's why it sometimes appears as if Fred's miming.

The Fat Bottomed Girls thing is a 'repair'. It's nicely done and sounds just great. I don't mind. Apart from that I didn't notice any 'overdubs'.

So whereabouts on FBG does Freddie make this mistake?
On the "lo" of "locality" in the line "Ain't no beauty queens in this locality."

He goes up to hit the note, and his voice cracks badly.
It's another typical "lie" from the Queen camp - the spoken intro to Staying Power has also been cut meaning that it's not the "complete" performance it was sold to us as being.....

Well, they didn't dub over John Deacon's wrong note near the beginning of Under Pressure- it's very noticeable.
I hope David, a guy in a German forum does not mind if I put his link of the "locality"-voice crack of Freddie into this thread. So, for all of you who cannot believe that Freddie does have his problems now and then; here is it:(right-click and save target as...)

the link didn't work for me...is there another place i can find it?

and the overdub thing kinda bothers me a bit...i think i'd rather hear the original with the voice cracks and all...we don't wanna pretend like everything was just peachy

That happened cause he appeared to trip over a lead (prob Freddies mic lead). Quite funny IMO
