Well in this case both me and Ashlee can sing for crap, but if that was me on that position I would save myself the embarassment of hurting people's ears by making them listen my crappy singing on the radio and MTV. Besides, I'd still preserve my pride and dignity by not making a fool of myself and getting caught lyp-synching in front of millions of TV viewers or being booed by 72,000 people. That my friend, is worth more than all the millions you could earn from a record contract. It's all up to how much of a self steem do you have.

Yeah, reminds me of a certain Mr Mercury who also was stuck up his own arse who apparently was better than ordinary commoners and could never be seen dead walking through a crowd of fans for example. Now, Freddie was one of the best frontmen around, but that didn't give him the right to act like such a prat. But if it's one thing i can't stand, it's arrogance and Freddie was one of the most arrogent men around.

I remember making a post recently on the Queen boards saying how Freddie seemed so arrogant during the 70s, which I believe he was. Some people claimed that his arrogance was just tongue in cheek, but if you read about Queen's beginnings, Freddie was quite arrogant even back then.
I think that by the late 70s and early 80s Freddie had a more mature attitude, and rather let Queen's achievements speak for themselves to define the greatness of the band.
Arrogance can quite hurt an artist or the rest of their band. That's why so many people hate Bono, Sting, and who could forget the Queen Mother of all arrogant bands, Oasis.

Well, in terms of looks, i LOVE Ashlee Simpson - she looks beautiful. But i haven't heard her sing so i can't judge her.
