i just have to vent. why the hell did they bleep out what freddie says before Death On Two Legs? did he swear? big deal, just slap a warning on the CD and release it like that. newayz, what did he say?
G
He dedicates the song to a 'real motherfucker of a gentleman', which is probably meant to be for their previous manager who swindled the band out of a lot of money. And when the album came out in 1979, those warning labels weren't being used like they are now, so the only way to release it was to bleep out the swearing.
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.

Check Rien's http://www.mercuryparadise.com/ - there's mp3 where Freddie says about this 'motherfucker gentleman' before DOTL without any censore sounds, but this is from another show.
M
The reason for this is that Freddie wrote the song about their old manager who then sued them so as he was about to mention his name to the croud it had to be edited for legal reasons. thats why end of story
Empty spaces what are we living for ? SHOW MUST GO ON!

Is the song dedicated to Norman Sheffield?
John: "It's the one thing I wish I could do - sing."
R
Yes, I think it is
heyheyheyhey, it was the DNA...

Live Killers is a mix of some '79 concerts. Why didn't they edit the speech before DOTL? Something like: "This next song is from a night at the opera... Death On Two Legs"

DOTL is one of the best tracks on Live Killers I think. IILWMC is also great!
