I'm fifteen now, first got into Queen when my brother's music exam last summer was to analyse BoRhap! He liked it so much he went out and bought the Greatest Hits Collection and the moment I heard Don't Stop me Now I was hooked!
I had really gone off music when I was around 12 or 13, it all just seemed either bland and the same or gangster rap where the only lyrics seemed to be 'ma bitch' and 'we gettin down wiv it'. What a refreshing change Queen was.
I was also surprised how many other people loved Queen at my school. As an artist, I had a round of requests to draw Queen or Freddie Mercury as birthday presents and was well paid too!
I think people underestimate how well respected Queen still are with the younger generations.

I'm 13 and I've only listened to Queen since summer last year.
But now when I've discovered them, there's no taking they away from me! :D

I had a tape with BoRap on it when I was five or six and I remember liking the Mamma Mia's and the Galileo's. Then when Breakthru came out in 1989 (I was 10 at the time, and I always sang "Grapefruit") I think I became definately hooked.

In May, I will be 18. And, I have literally been a fan of Queen since the womb. Actually, from the age of 12 to 15, I hated Queen (you know, the old "ditch your parents" attitude you get at that age). Then at 16, I wrote a short story about a guy in the future who loves Queen. And I did research (started listening again). Then the Darkness came out, so I set out to proove they weren't Queen reincarnated, and here we are. Now, I'm a bigger Queen fan than my dad.
I have just turned 16, and have been a fan of Queen for that many years. However, a couple of years I got Queen II for my birthday and I realised that I was a true fan. My parents are both big Queen fans, and saw them in 1986, but I consider myself to be the true fan in the family, especially as I have managed to buy all the albums now. I spend a good deal of time at school trying to get my friends to listen to Queen- it doesn't always work though!
It's my 16th birthday today and I've liked Queen for about 6 months.

Me too. But i don't sing under my breath. I sing aloud for all to here. I get told to shut up quite regularly. And on the bus, my friend and i are practically yelling the lyrics. everyone has gotten use to us now. We also do a great air guitar through the solos. we get alot of wierd looks. I'm 15 by the way.

I'm 17 (almost 18!). I've liked queen since I was about 10, when my mom introduced me to Greatest Hits I and II. I really started getting into their music when I was 14, and now I'm completely obsessed. I think its really great that people in younger generations are interested in queen- they're a hell of a lot better than today's music!
I recently passed 17 and 3 quarters, im 18 next month
