Yes but there isn't a full Paris gig.
So most likely Hammersmith '79.
There would also be a possebilety for Rotterdam '79, however i think that change is very small.
Why are they working on Paris 1979 at the moment (I still don't know how everybody knows this for a fact but let's say it's true) if it's only released as a bonus disc? And watching the bonus disc of On Fire it seems that they didn't work on that one very much (not for months). Tokyo 1982 and Vienna 1982 could be much better (both sound and music, just listen to Calling All Girls). So I bet it will be Paris 1979. How do you know it is not entirely filmed?

yes,I also think disc 2 of live at the bowl could have been better.It seems to me that they just put on qiuckly that vienna and japan stuff.
From what I've previously heard GVH3 had been put on the backburner - the next release will either be a live DVD from the 70's, or something Q/PR related.

The next DVD release WON'T be GVH3. It will be a live DVD from the 70's - Paris '79 will never be released as a DVD... they most certainly haven't been remastering it as someone has claimed. The main contenders are Hammersmith 75, Rainbow 74 and Earls Court.
Wheres the logic in a Queen B-Sides album? They only released about 5/6 actual bsides, with the rest being album tracks or in later years remixes & live tracks.

As someonse said before. Rainbow 1974 and Hammersmith 1975 don't include many hits. Only Killer Queen, BohRap (Hammy) and the smaller hit Seven Seas of Rhye. Earls Court is a good choice, it includes Tie Your Mother Down, Somebody To Love, Your My Best Friend, BohRap and Killer Queen.
I would like to see Houston 1977 as an official release, this concert includes many hits. But, I don't think that they are going to release it, because then the concert isn't rare anymore. But on the other hand you'll make a lot people very happy with this! I've heard that they were working on Paris 1979 right after MK 1982 was released, so let's wait and see...

I was hoping ot would be that biography that they showed on the t.v. channel, 'Ovation'. The one about Freddie. It was interesting and there were things that i didnt know.
The Munich '79 concert was filmed more imaginatively and the sounds was also better than Paris. However, there's absolutely no telling what state the masters are in as they reside in a German TV station archive I believe - pretty much the same as Vienna '82 did. And, I doubt the powers that be have the inclination to bother doing the research to put out a definitive '79 box set featuring Tokyo, Sapporo, Munich, Paris, London and associated interviews etc.......
I'd rather have Earls Court (both nights) and Houston '77 released as a complete set though - theatrically more interesting than the '79 tour with some quite outstanding FM banter....

Definitely NOT out of the question - the next live Queen DVD will DEFINITELY be a 70's show - most likely Hammersmith 75 & Rainbow 74. A lot of speculation around Queen etc is based on misinformation....
Most unlikely not.
They announced they where remastering the quality from Paris '79. So that one will be on a disc, unless they totally lost it it's unlikely an incomplete show like Paris '79 will be released as a single. It would most probaply feature on a bonus DVD. The bonus DVD from Hammersmith '79 most possibely.
BTW The Rainbow and Hammersmith are to early concerts. Not enough hits. The public wants at least Bo Rhap, WWRY and WATC. Since Rainbow doesn't even feature Bo Rhap it's bloody unlikely the wqill release that. Yes I hear you thinking they made Rainbow into a official release, but mention that this release was for a box set. So the box set was already meant for the fans.

In my opinion, a full, unedited version of Rainbow 74 would be the best option by far, regardles of the 'lack of hits.'
Who gives a crap about Bo Rhap when you've got works of absolute musical genius like Liar, White Queen and the instrumental Leroy Brown!
Also, there's another fantastic piece of Deacy action, where he looks like he's having a total spaz attack. Not as good as falling over at Wembley, but getting there!
It should be Greatest Video Hits 3. We've waited to long for it and I'm not sure that waiting longer will make it better. A release of the Hammersmith Odeon '75 would be good or Earls Court '77 also.
Yes, the Rainbow 74 footage is lovely, and they obviously still have the multitracks hence the new mix on GVH1. Hopefully they still have all the originally shot footage aswell - Hammersmith 75 would also make a good bonus concert.... to release them together would be logical. Theyve definitely looked at these gigs for possible DVD release.... Paris '79 is one of the worst pro-shot gigs - highly unlikely to see a release.

I also think Hammy '75 and Rainbow '74 would not appeal to the big public and I'm afraid they would appeal to the only core fans like Queenzoners, though those shows are worth vintage. So it's better that they will be taken as a bonus tracks. And from live stages of '70s, something from NOTW tour, Jazz tour or Crazy tour such as Houston'77, Paris'79 or Kampuchea '79 will be the better choice for the next release. IMHO, Earls Court is also pretty good because of well-balanced stage about set list, band condition, friendly rapport, and so on. and it's very Queenesque.
But hmm...it's so sad if many live stuffs of early '70s will get mildewed in the vaults...
Not quite.... the 74/75 period is the classic Queen era to most rock fans - they dont have to market every release for houewives and children you know.... such a release would give the band some much needed credibility and as theyve been looking at possibly releasing these gigs and not the others says something (!!)
