I love Brian's hair. It's part of his identity, perhaps personally and definitely professionally. Some rockers choose to never change their hair, as so do some everyday people also choose. One of my other favorite rockers who has never changed his hair is Gregg Allman. He's about as old as Brian and has had the same long blond hair all of his life.
I can't imagine Brian with his hair styled different or cut short. He is classic and so is his hair. Way to go classic Brian!
i agree, some of my friends obv recognise Freddie, but they also recognise Brian as 'the dude with the curly hair' he should never never cut it!lol shame they dont know who rog and john are :(
The odd thing is that Brian says he hates his hair. It was kinda short (well for him anyway) in the early 80's.
I'd like to see him with somewhat shorter hair - not drastically short - but sometimes it just looks too - windblown or straggly is a good way to describe it. Like on the 'Back to the Light' cover - it's too long and doesn't look like it was combed, brushed, picked through, etc.
Personally, I think once one hits a certain age, long hair just doesn't look right anymore. Like little old ladies with long gray hair - that's just gross in my opinion. And I know a few guys in their 50's who REALLY need to get rid of their ponytails.
If he does cut it off, well, I have this to say: Brian's a handsome guy - he'd look good no matter what!

I'm so jealous of Athena_Mercury. I dream of touching his gorgeous hair! I hope he never cuts it! But one thing I would like him to do--stop coloring it! The older he gets, the stranger and less believable his hair color is.
I've always heard that Brian perms his hair...though it sure looks natural to me. Somehow I can't imagine Brian sitting at the hairdresser with ten tons of hair curlers, hair sponges, and perm solution on his hair...but if what we have all grown to love (his poodle perm) is the end result..it's well worth it!
