I`ve heard the songs one more time, and i must admit that it didn`t suck as much as i thought. It was not perfect as it should be, but ok. PR must learn to sing the whole lyrics, but i do think their next concert will be much better. I really do hope!!

We've got two very different things being discussed in this thread right now, and that should be clear.
One is the fact that some of us, including me, are OUTRAGED by the disrespectful misinformation that led us to spend months waiting and a whole afternoon strugling to see 4 songs, including some obvious ones and that Melua girl.
The other one is the whole show itself, which I don't think any of us heard or saw as yet,which might've been good or great, dunno.
Just to make things straight, we have 2 things being messed up here.

Shame it wasn't a controversial subject, in terms of having to do with something stupid I would normally do or say. Instead, the controversy is focused on Queen and Paul Rodgers.

I just listened to that mp3 that someone kindly shared.
Who do I write to, to demand my 20 mins of my life back. That was ROUGH!!!
I hope the tour isnt of this quality. I'd rather remember their last performance being the one at Wembley for the Tribute in '92 rather than something that sounds like a load of old cats rattling around inside my washing machine.

After all the only thing that pissed me of was the edited webcast, i mean, it was the begining of the tour, the whole concert i believe was unedited till Queen, why? don't know. About the lyrics, was just a mistake, could happend to anyone i still think PR has a good voice and it sounded good today.

well .. I've just listened to TYMD at mp3 a couple of times now (I went to some friends, yesterday at around half past 9, so I missed Queen, well .. the parts they didn't cut) and I must say; it sounds nice -except for the brlrllblrlblrltlrbrl between 1:34/1:37 :S
I think it were the nerves; The expectations were só high .. and yesterday was very hot, so maybe these are some reasons that the last couple of songs didn't go so well? (although it's a shame that a singer like Paul can't remember the lyrics of anthems like WWRY and WATC .. OMG! .. a little child of 5 years old can yell the complete songs!)
But a first time is always hard, and if TYMD will be the quality of the songs at the tour .. well .. I know I'll be happy! :)

Actually, it wasn't just Queen that were edited. Some other artists were completely edited out (Danny K being one - shame really, cos I like that one song from the 46664 concert in Cape Town he did), so there are some fans fuming over that for sure in South Africa
Well, I think Brian and Roger did a great job. But indeed, Paul wasn't in a good shape. I found it pretty annoying that he missed some words from WATC.
I am very disappointed by what I've heard so far (the four songs).
As much as I like Katie Melua, I don't really think she did justice to a beautiful song that really could have been delivered like how Freddie did and should have been performed like the MIH version rather than the dull Brian May version.
I thought Brian was singing Tie Your Mother Down for a few seconds until I did finally realise that it was Paul Rodgers... honestly!
WATC and WWRY weren't much better than the UK Hall Of Fame versions... especially with those kids in the background on WATC... what was that all about?!
I'd like to hear the rest of the set, and I hoped a few more rarities instead of nothing more than a greatest hits set and a few Free songs thrown in.........

Still i'm looking forward to the tour, they reheased like maniacs. Paul also, maybe too much. If you put that over-rehearsing,the pressure, the nerves and the heath all together, yes i supose you can forget some lyris, who cares it's just a warm up gig!

true .. even Freddie messed up sometimes; and then it were the songs he (co-)created .. so after only a couple of months of rehearsing on somebody else's songs .. well .. it just shows that Paul is human. And what you say about over-rehearsing is very, very true!
And it was the first official Q+PR gig..the expectations were just too high because we didn't really know what to expect, except for the 95%perfect MHoF gig; but it's not fair to compare 3 songs (seperated into 2 parts) in a not very crowded Hall .. and a big-audience show with people from all over the world looking at you tnx to Tiscali, with an 60-minutes setlist and a warm temperature..
Nothing more human than to be nervous..
