some feedback: it's Dream Theater, not Dream Theatre and their version of Death on two legs at the Hammersmith Apollo (formerly known as Hammersmith Odeon) ROCKS!
iljaiya: OMG - Years to punch in all this of info - and you pick me up on a typo!!!

OK. I will repair it with an edi!
"Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make."
another typo: color me badd xD
We love you Mandy!
You included covers by Adam Baboolal and Adam Steen from the Queenzone stage of Champions but not Vinou, Bob Wegner and other fans.
And what about live performances for example by Valensia (last year in Vlaardingen on the Dutch convention,) JS Scoto, the Sas Band ... should they be included even if it was just a small audience?
I do not want any google ads here.
YV: As I said above,

"I am just "Thinking aloud" and playing with ideas. I know that I have more to add to the above list and that it is in need of some... surgery."

That's why I have posted this - so I could "redraft" on-line. This sort of writing becomes very tedious after a while, and mistakes are therefore very easy to make. By opening it to the wider community, I was hoping for such over-sights to be brought forward, and that between us all, we could come up with a "Cover Version: Ultimate Collection".

PS: My quip: "OK. I will repair it with an edi!" - was intentional - and meant as a bit of fun!
"Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make."
Thanks John!i'm glad you added "Is this the world we created" from the Stage of champions in the list. The correct title should be changed in "Flavia & Lorenzo from So Many band", since we made it available also on the official website of the band and we sometimes play it live in clubs.Anyway...

thank you!
:)
Anything too stupid to be said... is sung.
AFAIK Fugees (Hill, Jean, Michel) never ever covered Bohemian Rhapsody, and the only song titled as Fugees - Bohemian Rhapsody that I've encountered have merely been The Braids version mislabelled.

Didn't see on the list
Kid Rock - Fat Bottomed Girls (live)
"I think now I can make love to your anus without making God angry" Registered: Friday, January 18, 2002
yuop it's The Braids - Bohemian Rhapsody
Anything too stupid to be said... is sung.
Utada Hikaru - Living On My Own (live)
Neko Case and Her Boyfriends - Misfire

corrections:
-it's Stone Temple Pilots, not Stone Pilots (under Sheer Heart Attack)
-Weird Al Yankovic did "Another One Rides the Bus" and "Bohemian Polka"

Good stuff.

I think you missed Greenday's WATC. They have been doing that on their 'American Idiot' tour. Also, McFly's CLTCL? Or maybe you did put that I cannot remember.
"I bet you lost your virginity to a mechanical bull"
I have a few on your list, John. If you can send me an email, I'll pass them along.

' John S. Stuart : iljaiya: OMG - Years to punch in all this of info - and you pick me up on a typo!!!

Yeah well you've put so much effort in making this list, it needs to be flawless. My remark wasn't meant as negative feedback. I'm just trying to help!
So far the excuses. Here's some more feedback: you've done some great research, thanks!
Great post as ever John!

There's a lot of cover versions of Queen songs by many Russian bands. But most of them (artists) are not popular, very little known and working with small record labels. Their albums' have editions just about 1000 copies. For instance there's one band that performs "I Want It All" on every show. I can make a little research about such bands and their Queen covers if you'd like it.

And here well-known Russian cover versions are:

Phillip Kirkorov - The Show Must Go On (live on TV once, he's a kinda Russian super pop-star, singer, he has a good voice, but crappy image and he's a very arrogant person)

Felix - I Want To Break Free (mimed on TV, I have never heard about this guy before his appearance on one of Russian TV channels and after it, track was pre-recorded but it has never been released in any formats, the show was broadcasted just for only one time, he sung one song)

Larisa Dolina and Alexander Gradskiy - Barcelona (first is lady and second is man, she's a jazz/pop singer and he sings anything he wants, but started as a rock-singer, he sung in Russian versions of many rock-operas like 'Jesus Christ Superstar', performed once live, showed on TV many times)

Lubov' Kazarnovskaya and Nickolay Baskov - Barcelona (again first one is lady and second is male, she's a famous opera singer and he's opera/pop singer as well (he works with Caballe now), this version was recorded and released as a single in Russia only)
