how would you describe freddies voice? we all
know that its absolutly fantastic and
sometimes i miss the superlatives for him. simply
the greatest voice of all time.
that’s my opinion and i hope you agree to me.

Live he would always do his call & response with the audience, be it operatic such as at Live Aid, or Live At Wembley Stadium, or all out gospel/soul such as his take on Aretha Franklin at Milton Keynes The Bowl, or scat singing to "Under Pressure."
On his solo work he actually did do opera, such as "Barcelona", and theater, dance, ballads, and pop such as "Time", "Mr. Bad Guy", and "The Great Pretender".
His vocal virtuosity and talent, we will most likely not see of his likes again. He was and is if it's proper to say for a man...one of the GREAT Divas... I mean that in the Literal music esteemed regard and scholar way (not in the slang personality metaphor way)...as when music scholars refer to say a Maria Callas..or Freddie's idol Montserrat Caballe.
Freddie could have sung the phone book and it would have sounded dazzling!

I am total agreement.....Freddie had quite a set of pipes......I think it says alot that MTV2 called him the 2nd greatest voice of the past 22 years or whatever it was (2nd to Mariah Carey......now I dont like her music in the least sut she DOES have one awesome voice).....and usually MTV seems to forget about anything from more than 5 years ago......
Mercury was a total music bad ass.
There are alot of things in this world I would do to be in a band with Freddie...
The voice...the attitude...the presence...
With Mercury fronting your band, it would be impossible to not be a success.

The biggest compliment that i can say about him is that he is one of my favourite singers. He wasn't quite the best in the world but he would be in the top 10 (Maybe).

Freddie's voice is fantastic in so many songs it is hard to choose! I do beleive he has the best voice I have ever had the pleasure of listening to though. I am going to limit myself to my very favorite song displaying Freddie's voice, Somebody to Love. It is so beautiful. He was such a talant!
Energetic, warm, clear, powerful, thrilling, soothing, touching, enlightening, dazzling as the beautiful sunshine.

Freddies voice is amazing, so deep, soft and hard. I think that it's the best voice our times.
