Yeah, but PG's transcription, at his own admission, was only a start, and there are blanks that need to be filled in there. In fact, I can hear Zeni still just singing "Hangman, hangman" over and over again.

The track constsists of a very simple arrangement and would not sound out of place alongside the likes of the De Lane Lea sessions, "Polar Bear" or "Silver Salmon".
My point to Seb was that many of these early tracks were performed "live" in the studio - and that the overdubs were added later. (Just like the Beatles early stuff - as opposed to "Pepper" or "Rhapsody" - both of which were entirely constructed in the studio).
Since Seb kicked my ass on that point - I have refused to be drawn into the creative process - as that is not my area of expertise. I would still argue that (for a band like Queen) De Lane Lane "feels" bare - but - that does not mean that there are NO overdubs - it means that there are no obvious double-tracked Freddie vocals etc.
I was also informed that this was very consistant with the session, as they did not have the time, or the guarantee that they could return to overdub - because they took a very poor second place to other recording artists. However, (as can be seen from the debut album) they must have had the time to return to some tracks at a later date.

Apart from this board (where people still don't know what I look like) I am a very private person, and I do not want this to turn into some sort of "freak-show" - nor do I need to give "samples" or other bits to "PROVE" what I say. Simply - it exists - end of story.

I respect the tall, blonde, blue eyed, craggy featured JSS' choice not to go any further than he has, although I would personally like to see a full (-ish) lyric, which I wouldn't personally see as the thin end of any "give us more" wedge, although I understand the concern.

Fortunately I've developed and finely honed the knack of tuning you out now Zeni, to the extent that you're nowindistinguishable from the sound of my constantly dripping kitchen tap, another irritating noise I no longer am conscious of.
The fact that you question your ability to sing in tune suggest to me that you aren't though. Perhaps you could try the old pliers under the frock method, as espoused by Freddie, although I'm not sure what effect that has on women. I think you've got the rhythm down though.
