Expancion of Tour

I hope that the tour will expand and go to the United States some time soon. I believe that it will attracked so many fans in america.

I think how a Queen tour does in the US will all depend on the amount of publicity it gets. If it was hyped up a bit, I can see sell outs in America easily. Although, the right size venues need to be chosen. I also believe Paul Rodgers could be a definite draw for ticket sales here, since Bad Company has had recent American tours.

You don't get publicity unless you create it. Golden rule of good marketing. Initially they didn't have plans for US (neither summer open air gigs perhaps), but things started to move. Then PR cancelled his gigs which may indicate that either he wants vacations or there will be more to come (tour or studio). There is a certain expectaion for this tour to be headed against America - both Latin and US. I think it doesn't make sense for them to have gig in US without visiting Latin America. I might be wrong, but I was under impression Queen always had more fans in Latin America than US. Anyway, I think that if it happens then it will be combo - covering both south and nord. And probably this year. It could that as we speak management is doing their job and preparing ground for such extension of the tour.

I read in Entertainment Weekly magazine the other day something along these lines "Queen are touring their first time since the late Freddie Mercury died in 1991. They are touring European countries and will possibly head a US tour in the fall."

Kinda exciting to see them mentioned in a big magazine like that and for them to even mention the possibility of the US tour.

I won't hold my breath or count my chickens till they hatch, though..:-)

I'm willing to bet the farm that Q+PR will tour the states.

Brian and Roger are probably eager to try win an American audience again and Paul lives in Canada.
So I can see them doing it.

A lot depends on how well this tour goes and how they all feel about it when it's over.

I'll tell you guys... if they come to South America.. That would be thrilling... Audioslave is planning to come to Brazil too, so i think this year is gonna be a good one :-)

Yeah..it is great.. No more noisy neighbors! Sounds like you have a cool new place.
I'm coming off some of the worst few months ever, so I reeaally need this tour to look forward to. Nice to get back on here and think Queen again..:-)

The US tour is as good as assured. Brian is on the record as saying they're planning to spend 7 weeks in Europe this spring, a few summer stadium dates, and then 8 weeks in the North America in the fall - and if you look at the Queen + PR section of brianmay.com, the tour itenerary shows September and October as North America/US.

Barring a disaster, I'd say start saving your money for tickets and travel.

They're coming.

I just wish I could see some actual tour dates... I want to come up with a game plan.:-)
