Queenfans in Perth Western Australia?

I've just received some sad news that a friend of mine drowned off perth last week. Unfortunately we're finding it hard to find out what happened as there's not much news filtering back to the uk.

Just wondered if anyone had heard of a Mike Beckett drowning in the last week or so? Any newpaper articles or other info woudl be appreciated.

Howdy there, I'm from Perth and am very sad to hear this but alas I can not recall any names. There was indeed a drowning last week but it's probably best I don't speculate on names.
