Queen Crest/ trademark

I was wondering if there was anysignificance to the images on it. There's a bird-thing, two lions (one w/ a chain) etc. Is any of it symbolic or is it just a collaboration of random images?

I saw a very nice t-shirt with the Queen crest this mornin. I wanna make myslef a cool one (that will not lose its colours etc.) too. :P

There's some nice ones on ebay. You can get it black with a red crest, and other colours. I think I will buy one when I have enough money.
