Thanks to a new Google service you can spot any place in the U.S. via satellite

http://maps.google.com/maps

Just find your home in the map, and click on the 'satellite' button on the upper right corner to see a outer space view of your place and your block.

That is so cool! I found my house..but how did you make it so your address was not showing? It won't lemme save or copy the picture to edit it in paint.

You can spot your town, but don't type your address. Then with Google you can easily find your block, and once you've spotted it, click 'satellite'.

HIt the PRINT SCREEN button on the top of your keyboard (assuming you're a Windows user), and use a Photo Editing application to paste the screen shot as a picture.
K
I have that printer button..but nothing happened when I hit it. How did you draw your circle?

Once you've take a picture by hitting the 'print screen' button all you have to do is go to a picture editer. Windows Paint is good enough, which you can find by going to: (Start -> All Programs -> Accesories -> Paint), and then once you have the program open, go to (Edit->Paste) on your top menu and save your picture.

I drew the circle on Photoshop.

Bloody hell, this is really cool!
I really have some kind of satellite picture fetish. Too bad it's US only, but I assume rest of the world is going to follow, since it's only a beta version at the moment.
K
Ah, I figured it out. Thanks! I'll try to post it when I get home.

Yesh. Took me forever to edit it. :-p

It takes you 8-10 minutes to walk to that baseball field??

Either your neighborhood is much bigger than it appears, or you walk like 90 year old lady.

I could get there in five to six minutes if I walked normally. But, you must keep in mind, you gotta go around the back to actually get in cos there are different fenced in parts. I'm not good to-scale. There are a few things missing in that map, like probably about ten homes at the very least. But anyhow, that is just what I would assume for the average person. I dunno, I wrote that it looked bigger on the map, but I'm starting to think that it looks smaller.
