just wondering if anyone in here is a Duran Duran fan
i've always been a moderate fan of theirs but the other day i had the opportunity to sit in the audience for an interview they did here in Canada and i must say they're so incredibly nice. not that i was expecting them to be rude, but i was actually quite surprised at how friendly they were and now i like them 10x more. so, any Duran Duran fans? :D

I like Duran Duran a bit, I think more in 2005, than back in the 1980's. I also liked their Ordinary World album in the 1990's.
While I never saw them live, I DID get to see John Taylor with his one off 80's supergroup Power Station Live. I was in the front row and he and the band were awesome. Shame half of THAT group passed away this year, both Robert Palmer and Tony Thompson.
But yeah, I like Duran Duran. They are very nice to their audiences and I heard them do an in studio live acoustic performance and an interview WITH the audience answering questions from the fans, some months back on our radio station here in Maryland Z104, to promote "Astronaut." "Reach Up For The Sunrise" is a nice upbeat pop song.
I like that Duran Duran never take themselves too seriously and have stuck around for this comeback after so many changes in music and trends & such.
I also like "A View To A Kill" where they did the theme song, but you see Simon LeBon and he says at the beginning of the video...instead of "Bond, James Bond"., he says "Bon, Simon LeBon", real tongue in cheek and cool.

they are OK, I just seen them in concert 2 weeks ago in Auburn Hills, a great concert, was expecting a lot of syths and seen none, just a rock band =-)

Our Roger Taylor of Queen is NOT related in any way to John Taylor (bassist) & Roger Taylor SAME NAME--DIFFERENT PESON-(drums also!), Andy Taylor (guitarist) of Duran Duran.

I like Duran Duran. I haven't heard too much from them, but Come Undone is one of my favorite songs lately.
AAAAAAAAH! *loving sigh* DURAN DURAN! *faints*
They were more like a teeny bopper bubblegum pop band from the 80s, although I have to say I like a lot of their 80s songs and I even own their "Greatest" CD.
However, nobody can deny that 'Come Undone' and 'Ordinary World' are some of the greatest pop songs ever. Back in 1993 when I heard them on the radio I couldn't believe it was Duran Duran because they sounded so mature compared to all their previous work.
