Hammer to Fall worked well.
Days of our lives worked well.

Who would sing I was Born and Stone Cold Crazy? Not really PR vocals.

AOBTD wasn't really a favourite of Brian & Roger, bit to disco & against the Queen tide. Although it's one of the ultimate bass lines (can you guess I play bass?)

I think they should add a few more of Freddie's songs. Then again, it'll probably upset the people who are so against the tour and think the name died with him...
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.

I think Brian should drop his guitar solo. Ace Frehley from Kiss, (well now Tommy Thayer) did that so Kiss could play more songs. I think Queen should do that too and perhaps, finish with a live version of "God Save The Queen" so that Brian would have a solo in the show. You know, elevated in the air so that could remind us of the Buckingham Palace performance.

"Reachin' Out" should be left out, "Last Horizon", "Little Bit Of Love", "Fat Bottomed Girls" and "I'm In Love With My Car" too.

"Tie Your Mother Down", "Hammer To Fall" (Rock, No Slow) and "Headlong" should be the first to be played. They all go together well. Then, I'd put "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love" (There has to be Paul Songs...), "Under Pressure", "A Kind Of Magic" (because it's one of Roger's best tunes.), "Another One Bites The Dust" (they played it in Amsterdam, so why not in the tour ?) and "I Want To Break Free" because there has to be John songs. 2 isn't enough but better than nothing at all. Then, right away would be "These Are The Days Of Our Lives" and "The Show Must Go On". The only time they performed "Innuendo", it wasn't a good performance with Robert Plant so I think they should try it again after "The Show Must Go On". Like at Freddie's Tribute, they should play "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". Then, "Love Of My Life" sung by Brian. Then, maybe Bad Company's "Joe Fabulous" as it is a good song, really. Right after that, "Feel Like Makin' Love". "Somebody To Love" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" should be next. Roger would then sing "Radio Ga Ga". "Too Much Love Will Kill You" and "No One But You" are must since "Too Much Love" was a gift to Freddie in 1992 and "No One But You" was written for him. "Mother Love" would be the ultimate tribute after that and should be sung by Freddie on screen and Brian.

The Encore should be "All Right Now", "We Will Rock You", "We Are The Champions" and "God Save The Queen".

So that would give

1) Tie Your Mother Down
2) Hammer To Fall
3) Headlong
4) Can't Get Enough Of Your Love
5) Under Pressure
6) A Kind Of Magic
7) Another One Bites The Dust
8) I Want To Break Free
9) These Are The Days Of Our Lives
10) The Show Must Go On
11) Innuendo
12) Crazy Little Thing Called Love
13) Love Of My Life
14) Joe Fabulous
15) Feel Like Makin' Love
16) Somebody To Love
17) Bohemian Rhapsody
18) Radio Ga Ga
19) Too Much Love Will Kill You
20) No One But You
21) Mother Love

Encore
----------

22) All Right Now
23) We Will Rock You
24) We Are The Champions
25) God Save The Queen

I think that would be great. Not too typical for songs like "Joe Fabulous", "Innuendo", "Mother Love" and some others. They should at least try it but I'm really afraid Paul wouldn't sing "Somebody To Love" right. At least, not like Freddie or George Michael. Still could be interesting.

IT'll be a bit tricky to get video material with Freddie singing Mother Love... you know he being dead and all... But apart from that a nice setlist... would get a ticket for that for sure ;)

No, not singing "Mother Love" but just images of Freddie, like a tribute to him like it was done for the video of "The Show Must Go On" you know ? Queen would be playing "Mother Love" with Freddie's vocals and there would be images of him on the screen. Freddie and Queen at their best, of course. :P But let's look at it, I've never seen the worst of Freddie. Even dying, he gave his all. Freddie was either good, great or perfect.

I think this would be great.

(I think I knew what you meant, but I am sick of all those DoRo films trying to copy and paste Fred into songs making it look like he sings it... We've seen most of that footage by now...)

If you can persuade Rog, Paul and Brian to go with your setlist write me a mail! ;)

I wrote almost the exact same list on the Paul Rodgers website but as I can see, they probably never read it.

Of course, sometimes I'm getting tired of the DoRo films but they are quite good and let's look at it, if Freddie doesn't sing it, I don't want Paul to ruin this magnificent tune ! :P loll He already ruined some songs in Fancourt so I don't want that to happen again. At least, he'll never get to touch to "Bohemian Rhapsody".

Still, I wrote them 3 times and I thought Brian answered most letters. Sometimes, he answers letters that say "Thank you Bri, you're great...etc" and I wrote him and asked him if I could have his permission to use his name and Queen names in my novel, titled "Red Special : The Resurrection" and he never answered. I thought my letter was important. I know they can't answer each and every letter but still, he could answer the most important ones.

Thank you if you like my setlist. Maybe I'd add "I Want It All" after "Headlong" too. I always felt that those 4 songs (Tie/Hammer/Headlong/Want) were perfectly fit for each other.

No way should they EVER drop These Are The Days Of Our Lives!
"Elton John and I became really good friends. I don't mean 'good friends' in that sense. I just mean we slept together." -Billy Joel

Ah, of course "Breakthru" could be something great to hear ! I think I prefer the Queen from 1984 to 1995 instead of 1973-1982 so that's why most of the new songs I added were from the period. Most of yours, like "Fat Bottomed Girls" (Which I removed) and "You're My Best Friend" are from th "old era". But that would surprise me too if they played "You're My Best Friend" and I would like it.

I was a bit tired of hearing "Now I'm Here" because Brian played it at every single concert, or so, eversince it was written. Adding "Last Horizon" in a Queen concert was a good thing, but I prefer Brian not doing any solos like he's used to and adding more songs.

But that could be interesting too.

More interesting would be that they took your setlist, my setlist, and setlists from other people and make like "one night concerts". Always a different setlist. I'd love that !

I watched Madrid & Barcelona shows, and I missed "Innuendo".

All of us have our favourites, but I hope you all agree that this song must be mandatory: recent, succesful and a really brilliant one.

Your setlist is good but I don't think i woudl ever perform the songs in tha order. "It's A Beautiful Day" it a great intro. They did that for the "Ballet For life" in 1997 too.

"One Vision" should start the show if the song would be inserted in there. The Magic Tour was my favorite and "One Vision" was the perfect choice for an opening. It doesn't really fit anywhere else.

"Don't Stop Me Now" is a good song, but I don't think that performing this song after "Bohemian Rhapsody' is good. I always thought "Tie Your Mother Down" and "Sheer Heart Attack" weren't at the right place after "Bohemian Rhapsody" in the 70's and early 80s. I think the best song to be played after "Bohemian Rhapsody" has always been something like "Hammer To Fall" or "Radio Ga Ga". "Too Much Love" would be even better I think. Rock songs, unplugged songs, mid-tempo songs, Bohemian (which doesn't fit in any category), the sad songs and the grande finale, the "majestic songs" as I call them.

Put in a different order, that would be a great show but put in that way, it's a good show. That means it's a good list anyway ! :P

It's only my opinion...

Any show, any venue, any lead singer, any setlist, we're lucky to have Queen again. :P

I think Brians solo should be kept, as well as Last Horizon and Hammer To Fall slow. But I think they should get rid to Break Free and LOML. Songs like Headlong, Ride The Wild Wind and No-one But You should be added.
Ride The Night To The Morning Sun..!
