I'm NOT into the old style movie westerns that were bigoted and unrealistic.

I like the modern realistic westerns. My favorites in order:

The Cowboys: best most meaningful film John Wayne ever did and the ensemble with all of the teenage actors, Roscoe Lee Browne, Bruce Dern as the psycho, and great coming of age film about boys growing into men and what the REAL west and being a cattleman meant.

The Magnificent Seven-Baby!!! How can you beat an American revised remake of Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai", with an ALL STAR cast who did some of the finest acting of their careers, Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, James Coburn, Charles Bronson, Eli Wallach, Horst Bucholz, Robert Vaughan. WOW!

then:

Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid
The Shootist
Dances With Wolves
Once Upon A Time In The West
Jeremiah Johnson
Duel In The Sun
High Plains Drifter

When it comes to movies and music I'm all about variety, however there's always that one genre that I absolutely loathe.

When it comes to music it's bluegrass, and when it comes to movies it's westerns.
