Retired, yes (almost) all of us know that.
But I was always wondering what is the real cause. We have only speculations: he wants a calm life with his family, he never liked the spotlight anyway. But even this is a speculation.
My logical sense says something definite must have happened that made him stay away from public. I feel sorry for it, because I liked his style. At the concerts I didn't really missed him musically, Danny Miranda did a great job. But somehowe, as I saw the footage on the screen, it became warm at my heart. And not only because of the sight of Freddie.

John Deacon died in a car accident in 1967. The John Deacon that became famous as Queen's bass player is not the real John Deacon, it's in fact Roy A. McLean from Penniesworth, Yorkshire, who disappeared around the same time as the car accident, and who won a John Deacon look-alike contest a few months earlier. It's the truth, believe it.

Unlike Queen, this is one song I am sick of hearing.
