It has been said and proven that Another One Bites the Dust played backwards says 'I want to smoke marajuiana' (can't spell O_o ) :D

Think Freddie did that on purpose? :)

I hear "It's fun to smoke marijuana". Actually, listening to the song backwards isn't too bad.

As far as intent of Freddie or John, if it was there, it might not have been on purpose. There have been studies by some guy (I found this on the web, so God knows how legit it is) about how people subconsciously say things that when played backwards reflect their thoughts. I don't hold credit to the theory, but there's some crazy stuff out there.

Have you heard the clip, yourself, _amadeus_? If not, here's the link that came up when we last discussed this ;)

If people don't have lives etc. I guess some people think that listening to records normally is stupid and boring...

I would imagine that John consciously wrote the lyrics with the fact that, when played backwards, they had to have some sort of drug-related meaning. And, unfortunately, to his distaste, marijuana was the best he could come up with.

Christ on a bike, you should check out what happens when you play 'You're My Best Friend' backwards. The dirty sod...

Great King, what does it say? :D

John had a very big talent for writing songs, and playing the lyrics backwards hoping for that elusive naughty phrase. You should have heard some of the songs he through away all because he thought that hearing them forwards was boring.

I was joking...

You honestly think that people write songs, not least Freddie and/or John, with the intention of having a hidden meaning in there when you play it backwards?

Have a laugh...

what you are failing to see is that, just becuase someone has no life whatsoever and the time to sift through a few songs and play them backwards to find a "hidden message", it doesn't ACTUALLY mean the person/persons wrote the song knowing that the lyrics they made - when played backwards - had a completely different meaning.
